Account data: email address, name (optional), hashed password.
Uploaded content: video and audio files you upload for analysis. These are stored temporarily on our servers and automatically deleted after 48 hours.
Usage data: analyses performed, credits used, timestamps of activity.
Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe. We never store card numbers or payment credentials.
Technical data: IP address (for rate limiting and security), browser type, error logs.

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide the Reetain service — transcription, AI analysis, video processing.
To manage your account and subscription.
To prevent abuse (rate limiting, fraud detection).
To send transactional emails (verification, receipts) — no marketing without your consent.
To improve the product based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns.

3. Data Retention

Uploaded files: automatically deleted after 48 hours.
Analysis results: stored until you delete your account or request deletion.
Account data: retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account closure request.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third parties to operate Reetain:

OpenAI / Anthropic — AI transcription and analysis. Your content may be processed by their APIs subject to their respective privacy policies.
Stripe — payment processing. See stripe.com/privacy.
Pexels — stock footage search (optional feature).

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and associated data.
Export your analysis history.

We use only essential session cookies required for login and security. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
